Regarding raindrops

Regarding raindrops-

I remember watching raindrops roll
And skitter
On the windshield of my father's car
Speeding under the stormy all-swallowing sky
of Colorado
Watching them weave
Between their brethren
I would pick one
Whose journey seemed promising
I was absorbed in the outcome
Would it work its way to the window's edge and escape alone
And whole
Or would it touch another
Become something other
Larger than itself
And be absorbed?

Caro, this is gorgeous. I had no idea you wrote any poetry.

Thanks very much. I haven't written any in a long time, but we've gotten a lot of rain here lately and it triggered this very specific memory which demanded to be articulated for whatever reason.

Thanks again. :)
